Join the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra as it presents its first Bridging Frontiers concert! Bridging Frontiers is conceived as an annual concert that will feature Singapore's first and only fully-independent professional symphony orchestra in groundbreaking classical concert programmes.
Reflecting the MFO's vision to enrich lives through orchestral performances that connect, inspire and entertain, the first Bridging Frontiers concert this year will bring together lovers of both Chinese and Western classical music in a celebration of orchestral music that crosses cultural boundaries, combining the artistry of some of Singapore's most recognisable and respected classical musicians.
Programme:
• Antonín Dvořák, Carnival Overture Op.92
• Liu Xi Jin, Double Erhu Concerto “Hymn of Wusuli” (rearranged for western orchestra by Eric Watson)
• Richard Strauss, Don Juan, Op.20
• Richard Strauss, Horn Concerto No.1 Op.11
Tickets may be purchased from all SISTIC authorised channels.
