National University of Singapore Choir
In a celebration of longstanding ties between Yale University and Singapore, the Yale Alumni Chorus will join forces with the National University of Singapore Choir and the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra for a gala concert in the Esplanade Concert Hall on Sunday, June 26, 2016. The evening will present an all-Mozart programme consisting of his Symphony No. 29 in A, K. 201; his Piano Concerto No. 23 in A, K. 488, featuring the award-winning Yale student Scarlett Tong Zuo as soloist; and his immortal Requiem, with distinguished vocal soloists from both NUS and Yale. The symphony and concerto will be conducted by Maestro Chan Tze Law of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, while the Requiem will be conducted by Maestro Jeffrey Douma, who has conducted both the renowned Yale Glee Club and the Yale Alumni Chorus since 2003.
